Hello!
We are Michael (41) and Carla (35), a husband and wife from Western Sydney, NSW. Italian & Australian background. We’ve been together for 14 years and married for 6. We’re fun-loving, adventurous, passionate about travel, big-hearted, and proudly come from close-knit families.
Our journey to parenthood has been a long and challenging one. Early on, we weren’t sure if having children would be possible due to Michael’s health being a concern, however thanks to a life-saving medication now available, he lives a healthy and normal life.
At the end of 2017, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure after years of feeling like something wasn’t right. Following this diagnosis, we attempted egg collection and multiple IVF rounds in 2018, unfortunately without success due to very low hormone levels and no follicle growth. Around this time, we got engaged and made the decision to step back from fertility treatment to focus on our mental health and enjoy planning our wedding.
After getting married, COVID arrived and we later attempted donor egg IVF with my sister in 2020. One egg was retrieved, however it did not progress after fertilisation. As she shares similar fertility issues, we knew we would eventually need to look beyond our family.
We took another break to build our home and reset emotionally. In 2023, I tried two rounds of ovarian PRP in hopes of improving my chances, but sadly this did not change our situation.
In 2025, I began working with a lifestyle coach specialising in fertility and pregnancy. I made significant changes to my diet and lifestyle, and while I now feel better than ever and my levels have improved, my specialist believes our best chance of success is through donor eggs.
So here we are, hoping to find our donor angel 🤍
We currently have Michael’s sperm stored at Westmead IVF Clinic (via TESA), however we are happy to travel or cover travel costs if required.
We are open to having some sort of relationship if this is something that you would like, whether that regular updates or photos or just staying in touch.
